Christmas!

So I've finally made it to the Christmas pictures! Sorry it's been a while since we've posted anything, but the spring group of students, who were supposed to all arrive on Wednesday, ended up arriving on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday due to ice storms back in Kentucky. Needless to say, it's been a busy week for all of us!

Anyways, I'm going to try to post all of the Christmas Eve/Day pictures in one post in an effort to try to catch up. Sorry for the long post, but please enjoy! Christmas with Sophie was a lot of fun this year because she really got the whole Santa Claus thing, and for the first time didn't need naps to help her get through the gift opening!

We started by opening most gifts on Christmas Eve (a tradition that Ian grew up with). And of course, we had to start the evening with a special cheese plate that Grandma Fine put together:

Here she is sporting her new robe, new shoes and reading a new book with Daddy:

Sophie loves scarves, and her great aunt Chris made her one for Christmas (which she loves, by the way!)

And Mommy received a matching one, which was great because Sophie really likes to "match" people!

On Christmas morning, Sophie opened gifts from Santa. It began with her stocking, which was full of little goodies. Here she is being hypnotized by a bag of chocolate coins:

A cat mask and headband that Santa brought her:

Digging into the candy early in the morning:

Playing in the tent that Santa brought:

She set up her Playmobil kitties to have breakfast:

Here she is opening up her craft bag that great grandma Linda and Grams sent:

Posing with her new umbrella:

As mentioned in a couple of previous posts, Sophie received a camera from Uncle Kyle...here she is testing it out:

Posing with Laila and her new clothes from Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt:

And posing with her two most recent favorite movies from great grandma Dennis:

Sophie told me that she wanted to get a rock for Daddy for Christmas, and we happened to find an owl (an animal Ian likes) carved out of a rock:

Grandma Wilson having a little too much fun with Sophie's sticker set:

Sophie enjoyed "helping" everyone with their presents:

Here she is posing with her Christmas outfit (a gift from Grandma and Grandpa Wilson). She was being a ham and posing:

Sophie is putting on her best DJ face:

A shot of the whole Christmas clan:

Sophie on a walk with as much loot as she could muster (scarf, hat, shoes, stroller, new doll clothes, magic wand):

I'll post next time about our Christmas dinner!
