Northern Ireland--Final Post

I've finally worked through all of our Ireland pictures! This should be my last post about our Ireland trip...we just did so much and took so many pictures that it's taken me forever to get through them!

On our way home from the Giant's Causeway, we drove by these ruins of Dunluce Castle. We didn't pay to go in, but it was a nice view from the side of the road.

The next day, Heather had a day off, so we went exploring. We wanted to see something particularly Celtic, so we headed off to the Beaghmore Stone Circles. It was a rainy day, so we ate our picnic lunch in the car.

Sophie surprised us by eating her pear like a big girl. (Normally, we cut pears, apples, etc. into slices for her.)

The entrance to the circles:

And here's Sophie posing once again for the camera:

And many, many pictures of the circles and cairns themselves:

Sophie did a lot of running around, and since we were the only ones there, we let her explore as much as she wanted!

Heather took us to a nice, traditional pub for dinner. My only request is that they served cider on tap...she called beforehand to make sure, and lo and behold they did! Here I am with my coveted pint:

And Ian with his Guinness:

And just what every family needs...a family picture in a pub!
