An Evening Stroll in Strasbourg

We used to take lots of walks around Strasbourg when it was warm and the sun set after dinner, but lately we haven't taken as many, partly because we don't have as much time as before the students arrived, but also because it's been rainy and the sun sets so early now. The other night, we decided to take a walk because all of the conditions were right...we had time, it wasn't raining, and it was before dinner.

We headed toward the Cathedral. It was a crowded evening, and you can see the bike taxis right in front of the Kammerzell House.

They've started selling roasted chestnuts...and all of them here in Strasbourg seem to be sold from little trains. I'm not really sure why, but there it is.

We let Sophie have one last ride on the carousel before they dismantled it for the winter. Here she is with her little ticket.

And she decided to ride the little princess carriage. Daddy rode with her on this one. Unfortunately, this is the only good picture, as the other little girl's father kept jumping on and off the carousel right when I wanted to take a picture! I have lots of pictures of him blocking Sophie and Ian, though.

And finally, on our way home, Sophie decided that she and I needed to twirl in the mosaic circle:
