Paris Again, Part III

We spent our last day in Paris at the Louvre, and surprisingly, Sophie didn't sleep through it this time around! She got her own map and insisted on "showing" us where to go:

One of our first stops was "The Palace within the Dur-Sharrukin Citadelle" from 717-706 BC. Sophie was impressed by one of the gates:

This was simply called "Eyes" from the 3rd millennium BC:

The famous Code of Hammurabi, an ancient Babylonian law code from 1760 BC:

A profile of a statue's head:

Gudea, Prince of Lagash, from 2120 BC:

Some sort of inscribed plaque in the Arabian section:

Anne of Cleves by Hans Holbein the Younger (a court painter for Henry VIII):

A rare contemporary contribution in the Louvre, from Anselm Kiefer:

This was a statue near our hotel that I loved:

All in all, this trip was a good one to Paris, even if it was a little cold. We're looking forward to warmer weather for our June trip!
