Happy Easter! For once, I'm posting pictures on the day I took them! Easter is a little different in France, so we've had our difficulties in creating an American Easter for Sophie, but I think we succeeded, thanks to a dye set sent by Grandma Fine and a last-minute find of white eggs (the first I've ever seen in Europe). We dyed our eggs last night:

And Sophie was very proud of her eggs:

Making silly faces for the camera:

In France, apparently it's a tradition to eat a lamb cake (agneau de pâques). We're not really sure when or how it's supposed to be eaten, so we had it for breakfast. It turned out to be a vanilla/lemon angelfood-like cake. I think it's supposed to be a dessert, but we enjoyed it!

Last night, Sophie set up her table for the Easter bunny, with two (!) Easter baskets, dyed eggs, and some carrots for a little midnight snack.

And she was excited to see that the Easter bunny visits even in France!

We then headed out to our little courtyard where Sophie hunted for the Easter eggs that the bunny left for her:

She was very proud of her accomplishment--this year she only needed a tiny bit of help to find all of the eggs:

We hope that everyone has a great Easter!
