It's hard to believe that we've been in France for 6 months, but it hit home when the first group of students left in mid-December. We had a final dinner at a restaurant, and we said our goodbyes. Sophie wanted pictures with her new friends, so here are some of them.
Here she is with Jenny, Arielle, and Katie, some of her friends who took her out for walks around town every once in a while:

Here she is with her goodbye gift from one of her "best friends" of the group, Katie (the one on the right in the picture above).

With Jenny:

With Victoria, one of Ian's German students, and another student who took her out every once in a while:

With Ellen, who inadvertently spent a few long hours with us waiting for some trains on our way back from Ireland and her way back from England:

With Michael, who was sweet enough to give her some water when we were busy saying our goodbyes:

With "the other Jenny," as Sophie called her:

With Kimmy:

And Esther, who didn't want to say goodbye, so instead ran around the room while Sophie chased her to give her a hug:

With Anna, Megan, and Christy:

With the other Megan:

And finally, with "Berkwee" (or as she is really known, Berkley):

We are currently in Spain, so I'll be slow to post pictures from Christmas, but since we had a lot of family visit, we have enough to keep me posting until next Christmas! I'll try to do some here and there, but since I'm on vacation, I'm not sure how much I'll get posted.
Happy New Year!

Oh! Now I am sad. :(
No need to be sad...we were the ones left behind!
