A Warm Day
Today was a warm day in Strasbourg, which was welcomed after a few days of overcast, cool weather. We went grocery shopping in the afternoon, and Sophie begged us to go look at the fountain again in the Place Kléber (of which you saw pictures of a few days ago). When we got there, there were a ton of kids playing in the fountain of varying modes of dress (from normal clothing to bathing suits to birthday suits). We decided to live as the Romans, and let Sophie put her feet in.

It soon became apparent that if we wanted any dry clothes for her to go home in at all that we should undress her partially. She actually asked if she could take her shirt off because most of the little ones weren't wearing shirts (and apparently, she's already learning all about peer pressure). She loved splashing:

The fountain changes pace with the water, and just about when Sophie got brave enough to go explore, the fountain squirted out and splashed her. She turned to me very upset, but when she saw me laughing, she decided that it was fun(ny), too!
I think Sophie's going to enjoy living here, and I don't think we'll run out of things to do!
